After I discovered podcasts my life completely changed. Well, I might exaggerate a little bit 🙂 but my unused time has completely changed. Unused time is all the time you are doing something but you feel like you are wasting your life, like driving alone in the car or waiting in line. But even when you do something you love but could exploit this time for more like when you making dinner, or embroider a new embroidery design. Since I started listen to podcasts I also started to use my unused time for self improvement and learn more about entrepreneurship.
Before I begin listing my top 5 podcasts for entrepreneurs and self improvement you need to know what is a podcast. A podcast is an episodic series of digital audio files which you can listen to. You can download or streaming your podcast using all kinds of apps like iTunes or my favorite podcast app Podcast Addict.
This is really my number one, I love this podcast and it is the first one I ever listen to. This podcast is about entrepreneurs and the movements or businesses they built. In each episode Guy Raz interviewing a different entrepreneur like Cathy Hughes- Radio One, Jim Koch-Samuel Adams, Sara Blakely- Spanx and more. The stories are just amazing and so inspiring! Guy Raz is a wonderful interviewer and the podcast have a great flow. You don’t have to listen to the episodes by order, choose whatever looks (or sounds!) interesting to you and enjoy! I think it a must for entrepreneurs.
This podcast is just full of life and energy!!! In each episode Alison Faulkner is talking about a different topic like big picture thinking vs. small picture thinking, how to decide who to do business with, what to do with OPP and more. It is all about self improvement and as Alison say in every episode “our goal in every podcast is to make you feel more awesome each time you listen”. Alison Faulkner and her husband Eric have such a great dynamic, they are both give great insights and tips. This podcast is great for business owners and entrepreneurs but and also for personal empowerment in the workplace and in life in general. This is also a podcast you can listen by choosing episodes and not necessarily by order.
Rachel Hollis from the chic site decided to interview women in business and ask them questions that could help all women. Instead of talking about work life balance, which is usually the question women asked, Rachel talk with her interviewees about steps in building a career, how to develop yourself in the workplace, how to start a business and generally how to fulfill yourself career wise. All the women she interview come from different industries and varied opinions so you will learn something different each episode. Highly recommended for young women who try to begin their career journey.
“Made it” podcast is really a place for you to grow as an entrepreneur, blogger, maker, small business owner, Etsy shop owner etc. Courtney and Elliot talks about marketing strategies, branding, creativity and more. They also interview interesting entrepreneurs to share their stories and help you learn and grow as an online entrepreneur. All Etsy sellers pay a tension! Etsy success finally started a podcast! In each episode they interview an Etsy seller or Etsy employee and talk about building an Etsy shop, how to improve sales, social media and more. This is a nice source for tips on improving your creative business. Although I was expecting more from Etsy success being part of the Etsy community is very important and you should listen to this podcast and learn what you can.
