Macrame Embroidery Tutorial
New embroidery design!!!! So excited to share this new plants embroidery design here, some of you probably saw it already over my Instagram feed and stories (follow @tatasolstudio and don’t miss out anything!). As usual, I made a video tutorial for this specific design. You can watch it while you make this embroidery art.
How to order
You can order this design as an embroidery kit that will have everything you need for this project, include an embroidery hoop, threads, needle, instructions. Or download the PDF pattern and print the design at home.
Embroidery for beginners
I used basic stitches in this embroidery project to make it easier for beginners, but you can add more satin stitches if you like. To finish this project quickly you can stitch only the outlines of the shapes.
To learn how to make back stitch or satin stitch you can check out the videos I made just for them in my YouTube channel. For the plants I used both back stitch and satin stitch (you can learn my trick for embroider pointed leaves on the video!), I also back stitched the bench and the plants pots. For the pole, I decided to use satin stitch because I was going to add the macramé ropes over it and I thought it would look nicer.
As for the macramé, it is such a big trend right now and I saw so many gorgeous pictures over at Pinterest that I had to make it into an embroidery design 🙂 so how to stitch the macramé embroidery you ask, very simple. First, I stitched the rope that goes over the pole. You can tell wherethey are supposed to be by the lines that goes after the pole. There should benine sets of two.
The final detail is the French knots. This will upgrade your embroidery art from cool to AMAZING! Wherever there are two ropes that meet, you add a French knot. It’s not a complicated knot to make if you follow the instruction slowly so watch this tutorial and you will be fine.
