Mini Plants Embroidery Tutorial
I have exciting news to share with you! I have a new mini embroidery kit set on my shop. It has a beautiful modern plant design and cool thread colors. As always I like to do a video tutorial for you guys, so if you get the embroidery kit or the embroidery PDF pattern you will have both visual and written instructions. This time I made two videos, part 1 is the plants tutorial and part 2 is the plants pots tutorial.
The kit include everything you need to start stitching the project like threads, embroidery hoop, printed fabric, needle, instruction and stitch guide.
Video tutorial part 1 | how to embroider the plants
The first plant might look familiar to you from my plants bench embroidery design, it is the same plant and I will embroider it the same way. First, I added the branch with back stitch and then fill out the leaves with satin stitch. What I like to do in order to add some volume to the leaf, and also create a pointed leaf, is to first add a cross stitch from the point of the leaf to base and then fill with satin stitch.
The last plant is also from the plants bench design. I like to use it because it is quick to embroider, looks amazing and I like a variety of techniques in my patterns so this will defiantly add to that. This embroidery technique called the buttonhole stitch and it is a variation of the lazy daisy stitch. I have a full instruction in this modern plants embroidery post.
